2/14/2024 0 Comments Apple tv 4k remote battery lifeI am using the ATV pretty much every day. Bought it on October 21, did charge it on the first day and now it shows 70 left. The remote takes somewhat around two hours to get fully charged and once it is fully charged, the battery may last for as long as a month or so depending on the usage. The remote is connected to the TV via a secure Bluetooth connection. View the tech specs for Apple TV 4K and the Siri Remote including size, weight, capacity, ports and more. It wont impact the battery too much as your doing it as a one time thing, but it allows the system to correctly real the total MaH of the battery, thus the battery percentage will not drop from 20 to 10 in a matter of 5 minutes. Hmm, Apple TV 4K is my first ATV ever, so it is hard to compare the remote with previous generations, but I am really happy with the battery life. With this, Apple TV became the first of its province to launch a remote with rechargeable battery. Now to fix this, and to know the true percentage, it is required to discharge the battery and charge it to 100% without disruption. When the system has a wrong number (typically a larger number than the actual capacity due to degradation) then it will wrongly interpret the percentage. The system thinks that the battery has a set MaH, so it reports the percentage according to the total it can read. Reply reply mike027 I’d think they’d be able to just show the last percentage before it went to sleep. It would have to always be on to show up in your phone. However, things like battery percentage jumping im large increments is the case of a uncalibrated battery. Charging wirelessly on top of the Apple TV would be great, but being able to see the battery status would ruin the battery life of the remote that we all enjoy. one could change battery in the first, second and third generation appletv How to replace the battery in your Apple Remote - Apple Support (QA) the newer ones with a siri remote have a rechargeable battery that cant be changed. Had a notifications about it being at 20. Yesterday I had Netflix playing all day as I’m currently sick. The last couple of months however I have gotten a notification about needing to charge it at least once a month. Of course, always depleting the batteries and recharging them can severely impact the battery, thus the 20-80 rule was made. I bought my Apple TV 4K back in 2018 and the remote have always had great battery life. This simply happens when the battery can no longer hold a charge. Yes, i know that, but the part where it can be unable to charge is wrong.
